Step Into Cuba’s new Passport program is designed to introduce people to the many places to walk in and around the Village of Cuba. The group has created a passport which is part walking guide and part record book. Each page has a blank area where people “stamp” their passport to show that they’ve walked a particular trail or sidewalk. Each location has a post with a number. The passport holder can hold the blank page over the number and rub it with a pencil to make a rubbing. Alternatively, people can take a selfie by the post and tag it with #stepintocubapassport. By doing one or more rubbings/selfies, passport holders can earn incentives such as water bottles, shirts, and vests.
