The VIVA Connects team visited Silver City last month to assess progress on the Boston Hill Trail System’s Signage Improvement Project. Community members have made tremendous headway on this trail system, including a new section of switchbacks leading up from the Spring Street trailhead. Additional waypoint signs have been designed and ordered, with volunteers working hard at developing a new, completely revised mapping system.

These enhancements will greatly improve the walkability of the community and may positively contribute to the health of Silver City’s residents. To commemorate their accomplishments, a celebration will be held at the Spring Street trailhead in October, 2019. Stay tuned for updates on the celebration, as well as a full report on the progress at Boston Hill.
