Streets are carefully engineered to move automobiles as safely and efficiently as possible, but they don’t always accommodate the numerous other road users such as transit riders, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Maida Rubin (Regional Planner, Mid-Region Council of Governments) will discuss the elements of complete streets design and policy, how to implement them in context-sensitive ways, particularly in rural areas, and lastly, potential funding sources that can help these projects become realities.

Join us for this great presentation on Tuesday, October 17th at 12 pm in the Research Incubator Building Commons on UNM Campus.
